The end of the world, you say?

I say yes. Bring it.

Bring an end to the world of  disconnection by design and let’s build one of dedication through devotion.

Gone is the world of me against you; the world of too much pressure.

Goodbye spirit crushing expectations and hello lovingly inspired leadership.

I see the end of demanding and the beginning of requesting;

the end of being the way and the beginning of being the exception.

Who else will be exceptional, too?

I ache for it to end. I yearn for it to begin.

It’s time for the end of bullying. The end of mommy wars. The end of left vs right;

the end of trying to fit round pegs into square holes. The end of square holes at all.

I want the end of judgement and the beginning of understanding.

the end of pushing and the beginning of patience;

the end of control and the beginning of compassion;

the end of competition and the beginning of community;

the end of going it alone and the beginning of relationship.

Why not stop tearing down while looking down and start building up while rising up?

Authoritarians make way for discussion.

Shouting ends and listening begins.

Plans give way to spontaneous twists and turns.

End the calculation and begin to thrive in contentment.

There is an end of worrying about tomorrow to begin savoring today;

an end of early starts to begin sleeping in;

an end of punishing to begin partnering;

an end of discipline to begin dedication;

an end of force to begin flow;

an end of giving lectures to begin entertaining laughter;

an end of grading to begin growing the gleam.

What if we stopped pushing away in fear and started drawing in with love?

The end of insisting makes way for acceptance.

The end of boiler plates favors supple creativity.

The end of trepidation results in the emergence of courage.

How might it be if we stopped and started again?

If we stopped being ignorant and started asking questions?

How can we remove our greed and give all we can?

Can we hunger no more through humble expression of our humanity?

If we stop denying can we see opportunity?

What if there were an end of blame and a beginning of responsibility?

If we put an end to constant analysis to usher in feelings and sense?

Can we stop simply feeling sorry and start making things happen?

We’re all in this together.

We can forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

I call for the end of cynicism that we may enter grace.

Let’s turn away from horror and unleash the power of hope.

There’s no room for doubt in the eyes of faith.

Instead of triumphing through defeat we offer the very best of ourselves

and we find that with the end of separation there is the beginning of unity.

The end of nothing and the beginning of everything.

We stop falling apart and start falling together.

We stop breaking down and start breaking open.

We stop losing it and start letting it go.

I want to tuck the world in at night and greet it with a sunrise kiss. I want to plant seeds in its soil and right all its wrongs.

I ask the sun and the starlight, too, to like a fever burn it all out. I beg of the rains and the rivers, too, to wash it all away.

On either side of an ending is release, sweet release.

Then under the silent glow of the silvery moon the whole world can exhale.

Let’s exhale and let’s begin again.
